A heartfelt tribute was paid, Saturday, in Algiers, to the singer Nouara, one of the divas of the Algerian song of Kabyle expression, by the artistic and cultural Association of the “3rd Millennium”, before a large audience.
The public of the Mahieddine-Bachtarzi National Theater (Tna) came to express its great gratitude to the one who marked the Algerian song in the 1960s, by the quality of its interpretations with a singular voice that attracted the greatest writers and composers of music of her time.
Welcomed by a public standing, under the applause and youyous, Nouara came into music, treading along the room under the rhythms of t’bel and the strident sounds of the ghaïta of the Kabyle folk troupe (idebbalen) “Thafath” of Tizi Ouzou, before settling on stage next to the great actress Chafia Boudraâ.
