FIFA has denied, on Sunday, that it has received any request from some Arab countries to withdraw the 2022 World Cup from Qatar.
Reuters has published FIFA’s statement, which said that “the president of the Swiss body, “Gianni Infantino” has not received any request in this regard, so he refused to talk or comment on it, and it was stressed that “Infantino” has been made clear about FIFA’s continuing contact with the Organizing Committee of the Championship, to follow up all matters related to Qatar’s 2022 World Cup.”
