ALGIERS- The Secretary General of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) will pay, from 15 to 17 October, a working visit to Algeria, the Ministry of Energy and Mines said, Thursday, in a statement.
“At the invitation of the Minister of Energy and Mines, Mr. Mohamed Arkab, the Secretary General of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), Mr. Haitham Al Ghais, will pay a working visit to Algiers from 15 to 17 October 2022”, indicated the same source.
The Minister of Energy and Mines and the Secretary General of OPEC will hold a working meeting on the situation of the international oil market and its development prospects in the short and medium terms, underlined the ministry.
During his visit, Mr. Al Ghais will also have talks with senior officials of the hydrocarbons sector in Algeria, in particular with the CEO of the Sonatrach group.
