ALGIERS- The Minister of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, received, Sunday, at the headquarters of his ministerial department, the CEO of the Italian company “Eni”, Claudio Descalzi, in the presence of the CEO of Sonatrach, according to a ministry statement.
The statement of the Ministry of Energy and Mines indicated that during the meeting, “the two parties reviewed cooperation and partnership relations that link Sonatrach Group with the Italian oil company “Eni”, dubbing them as historic and excellent, in addition to the prospects for their strengthening.”
The same statement added, “both sides, also, discussed the current situation, development of the international natural gas market, business opportunities and future prospects for investment in the field of new energies and renewable energy.”
For his part, the CEO of “Eni” said that “he is very satisfied with the partnership between Sonatrach and “Eni”, expressing his great interest in continuing to invest in Algeria, which is a reliable and credible partner, especially in the field of oil exploration and renewable energies,” the statement concluded.
