☔️ Special Weather Forecast Bulletin: Sandstorms, snowfall, thunderstorms, heavy rains expected

ALGIERS- Strong gusty winds are expected to blow, as of today, Sunday, Feb 13th, 2022, along the southern provinces of the country, causing vision difficulties, indicated the National Meteorological Office in a special weather bulletin (BMS ).

According to the same report, the concerned provinces are: Ouargle and Illizi.

Bulletin validity: Till 21:00.

As for the maximum temperatures expected for this Sunday, they will be oscillating between 11° and 17° celsius in the Coastal regions, between 9° and 12 ° celsius in the Interior provinces and 15° to 26° celsius in the Saharan regions.

Drastic change in the weather is expected over the Northern regions of the country. Indeed, today’ stability will be followed by turbulence coming from the Northern Europe, heading towards the central and western regions.

To this end, the same services have indicated that torrential rains will batter different parts of the country.

The concerned provinces are: Algiers, Blida, Médéa, Boumerdès, Bouira, Tizi Ouzou, Tipaza, Chlef, Mostaganem and Oran,

Rainfall accumulation will reach 40 mm locally.

Snowfall is forecast on central and eastern reliefs exceeding 900 meters of altitude, according to the same weather report (BMS).

The concerned provinces, placed at the Yellow vigilance level, are: Blida, Bouira, Tizi Ouzou, Bejaïa, Sétif and Batna.
