Justice/ Corruption: Appeal trial of former minister Houda Feraoun adjourned

ALGIERS- The Court of Algiers decided, on Wednesday, to adjourn the appeal trial of the former Minister of Post and Information Technologies (ICT), Imane Houda Feraoun, to February 2.

The adjournment comes at the request of Houda Feraoun, due to the open strike observed by the National Union of Bar Associations.

Former Minister Feraoun and several executives are being prosecuted for squandering public funds, granting undue privileges and abuse of office.

The tribunal of Sidi M’hamed sentenced the former Minister of Post and Telecommunications to 3 years in prison with a fine of 500,000 Da.
