ALGIERS- The Speaker of the People’s National Assembly (APN) and the Hungarian Ambassador to Algeria, Gyorgy Pantos, reviewed, on Wednesday, the prospects for political cooperation between the two countries, welcoming the “good” level reached in this matter, indicated a press release from the lower house of parliament.
“Mr. Chenine received, at the headquarters of the Lower Huse of Parliament, the Hungarian ambassador in Algiers who paid him a courtesy visit as he is wrapping his diplomatic missions in Algeria,” the statement said, adding that the two parties examined “the state of historical relations and the good level marking the political cooperation between the two countries “.
The meeting was “an opportunity for both parties to reaffirm the importance of cooperation at parliamentary level, in particular through the two friendship groups”.
The two parties agreed to “continue efforts to raise economic cooperation to the level of political relations,” concluded the same source.
