Volume of non-hydrocarbon exports to reach USD3 billion by late 2018

The volume of non-hydrocarbon exports will reach USD3 billion by the end of 2018, said Thursday, in Mila, the head of foreign trade promotion at the Ministry of Trade Farouk Hamdaoui in a meeting on “the promotion of non-hydrocarbon exports,” organized at the University Centre Abdelhafid Boussouf.

“The volume of non-hydrocarbon exports evolved this year compared to last year as nearly two (2) billion dollars were recorded,” said the Manager, adding that ” in the first eight (8) months of the current year, exports exceeded 2 billion dinars and will reach 3 billion by the end of the year “.


Referring to the efforts made by the State for the diversification of exports through an armada of tax and customs facilitation measures, Mr. Hamdaoui recalled “open yards”, as part of the strategy of the Ministry of Commerce aimed at creating a climate conducive to exports, supporting the competitiveness of Algerian products in foreign markets as well as establishing a single window to facilitate customs procedures and the transit of goods through ports.
 

For his part, the head of the office of management of export support resources, Abdelatif Houari highlighted the role and missions of the Export Promotion Fund in supporting exporters and economic operators wishing to take part in economic events abroad, and exhibitions in particular.
