The High Independent Authority for Election Monitoring (HIISE) expressed satisfaction regarding the electoral campaign for the forthcoming legislative elections of May 4, in its first week, APS reported.

HIISE welcomed in a statement “the spirit of cooperation and understanding recorded by the political parties, independent candidates as well as  the various media, in terms of respect for the legal and political rules of the electoral campaign through competitive electoral programs to allow voters the freedom to compare and choose.

Recalling the obligation to comply with the law during the current electoral campaign, HIISE called on everyone to ban overruns including “the use of advertising in the media to make known the candidates in the running and their programs or the use of social networks for ideas or messages contrary to the laws in force, the ethics of the electoral process and the usages and values ​​of Algerian society .

In this regard, it reiterated its “determination” to accompany all partners in the electoral process to “ensure the strict application of the law and ensure all the necessary conditions for the organization of proper elections capable of climate of serenity, tranquility and stability “.

On this occasion, HIISE expressed the wish to see “good cooperation and positive interaction” on the part of the candidates in the lists, saying that they are “ready to fulfill its mission of supervision and control, enshrined in the constitution and The various laws, in order to allow the citizen of Algeria to vote freely, away from any pressure, constraint or influence, in realization of the sovereignty of the people, “the statement added.
