Algerian farmers invited to invest in the south

    The secretary-general of Algerian Union of Peasants, insisted on the need to clean up agricultural land, pleaded for granting bank credits, for those wishing to engage in Saharan agriculture.
    On the other hand, he called on the authorities to speed up the issuance of concession contracts to  39,000 peasants in waiting, he said, since 2010. He also wished to recall that some of them had invested large sums to develop their farms.
    Mohamed Aloui said, he has also called on the government to generalize ban on importing agricultural products.
