The Algerian juniors boxing team snatched five medals (2 gold, 3 silver) at the end of the finals of the Arab Junior Championship, held from March 5th to 8th at the Al Maadi Olympic Complex in Cairo (Egypt), APS reported.
Aidel Mazigh (56 kg) snatched a gold medal, beating Egyptian Merouane Mamdouh Medbouli and his teammate Djalal Bouchkouk (75 Kg), who won against Egyptian Moayed Eddine Walid.
The two other Algerian boxers in the finals of this Arab championship who snatched the silver medals are Aït-Beka Salim (49 Kg), who lost in the final against Yemeni boxer Chouail Ghanem while his compatriot Aghiles Chebah (52 Kg) was defeated by Egyptian Mostapha Mohamed Fahmi.
For his part, Mounir Benaamane (64 kg) lost his duel against Tunisian Haythem Beraki.
