ALGIERS- The voter turnout in the presidential election at the national level (without taking into account the turnout abroad) is 41.14%, the head of the National Independent Authority for Elections (ANIE), Mohamed Charfi, said early Friday morning.
The final results of the poll will be announced Friday at 11 am, revealed, in a statement, the ANIE.
The voter turnout at the closing of the polling stations reached 41.14%, announced the body’s Chief Mohamad Charfi.
The number of voters, thus, reached 9,692,077 out of the more than 24 million voters registered.
The national voter turnout reached 33.06% at 5 pm, according to Mohamed Charfi, president of the ANIE who specified that in certain provinces the rate has exceeded 50%.
