ALGIERS- A delegation from the Council of Nation is taking part, from November 18-21, 2022, in Madrid (Spain), in the work of the 68th session of the Parliamentary Assembly (PA) of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), said a statement from the Council on Thursday.
Participants will tackle, in the meetings of the standing committees, current issues, current developments and several themes including “the important role of women in ensuring peace and security, cybercrime and the repercussions of climate change on security”.
The delegation of the Council of Nation will be represented by the chairman of the National Defense Commission of the Council, Mr. Noureddine Benkortbi and Mr. Farid Bessaih, member of the Council.
It should be noted that the Algerian Parliament takes part in NATO PA meetings, in its capacity as a Mediterranean partner member.
Besides, the member of the People’s National Assembly (APN), Hammad Ayoub will take part in the work of this session. Mr. Hammad Ayoub will take part in this work, in his capacity as a permanent member of the NATO PA.
