CHAHID EL HAFEDH (Sahrawi Refugee Camps) – The President of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR), Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali affirmed, on Saturday, that the Sahrawi cause was experiencing important developments after the resumption of the armed struggle, warning against a Makhzeno-Zionist relentlessness against the security and stability of the entire region.
Supervising the installation of the preparatory commission of the 16th congress of the Polisario Front slated for next December, President Ghali underlined that the Makhzen and the Zionist entity were relentless in collusion with other parties to target not only the legitimate rights of the Saharawi people to freedom and independence, but also peace and stability throughout the region, through, among others, the intensification of the flow of Moroccan drugs to support organized crime gangs.
The Moroccan occupier, continued Mr. Ghali, multiplied suspicious alliances to bend the Saharawi resistance by resorting to “conspiracies to sow discord as well as target the legitimacy and representativeness of the Front”.
Referring to the 16th congress of the Front scheduled for the end of 2022, Mr. Ghali indicated that this event would constitute an important phase in the struggle of the Saharawi people for freedom, adding that the preparatory phase of the congress “requires, by its nature, a national dynamic to which all the living forces should adhere, paying attention to the principles and constants of the Polisario Front within the framework of an inclusive national action.
