Algeria condemns, in strongest terms, aggression of Zionist forces on besieged Gaza Strip

ALGIERS- Algeria strongly condemned, on Friday, the savage aggression carried out by the Zionist occupation forces on the besieged Gaza Strip, expressing its deep concern at this dangerous escalation, said a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad.

“Algeria strongly condemns the savage aggression carried out by the Zionist occupation forces on the besieged Gaza Strip, expresses its deep concern at this dangerous escalation added to an endless series of systematic violations against unarmed civilians, in clear violation of all relevant international charters and decisions,” the statement read.

“While reiterating its full solidarity with the Palestinian people, Algeria calls on the international community, in particular the UN Security Council, for urgent intervention to put an end to these criminal aggressions and impose respect for the rights of the Palestinian people, at the head of which their inalienable and imprescriptible right to the establishment of their independent state with El-Quds as its capital,” added the same source.

The Zionist Entity attacked, on Friday, besieged Gaza Strip with warplanes, causing the death of at least 10 people including a commander of the Islamic Jihad group and a young girl.

Taysir al-Jabari, a commander of the Al-Quds Brigades, the military arm of the Islamic Jihad, martyred in an air strike on an apartment in the Palestine Tower in the centre of Gaza City, the group said.

In addition, at least 55 people were wounded and being treated at hospitals as a result of the Zionist occupation forces’ raids on besieged Gaza Strip.

Smoke poured out of the seventh floor of the building in Gaza City.
