OPEC+: Algerian Energy Minister takes part in 31st ministerial meeting, today

ALGIERS- The Minister of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, will take part, today, Wednesday, in the works of the 31st OPEC-Non OPEC (OPEC+) ministerial meeting to be held by videoconference, a statement from the ministry said on Tuesday.

Bringing together the 23 countries (13 OPEC countries and 10 non-OPEC countries) signatories of the Declaration of Cooperation, this meeting will be preceded, on the same day, by the works of the 43rd meeting of the Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee (JMMC) , said the same source.

“These two meetings will be devoted to examining the situation of the international oil market and its prospects for short-term development,” the document added.

The JMMC meeting will also assess, on the basis of the report drawn up by the Joint Technical Monitoring Committee (JTC), “the level of compliance with the output commitments for the month of June 2022”, concluded the ministry.
