Justice: 6-year prison sentence requested against former Minister of Housing Temmar

ALGIERS- The public prosecutor at the Tribunal of Sidi M’hamed (Algiers) requested, on Thursday, a sentence of six (6) years in prison against the former Minister of Housing, Abdelwahid Temmar, prosecuted in a corruption case when he was wali of Mostaganem.

The public prosecutor also requested a fine of one (1) million dinars with confiscation of all seized property.

Abdelwahid Temmar is being prosecuted, in this case, for abuse of office, falsification of official documents and false declaration of assets.

This former wali of Mostaganem is being prosecuted for the issuance of authorizations for the creation of holiday camps on forest land in violation of the law and the non-declaration of bank accounts in 2019.
