Lower House of Parliament takes part in NAM Parliamentary Network Conference in Azerbaijan


ALGIERS – The Speaker of the People’s National Assembly (APN), Mr. Brahim Boughali takes part, at the head of a delegation representing the two chambers of Parliament, in the work of the Conference of the Parliamentary Network of the Non-Aligned Movement ( NAM), scheduled for, Thursday and Friday, in Baku, capital of the Republic of Azerbaijan, said an APN statement.

The question of the adoption of “the declaration of Baku” and the statutes of the working methods of the parliamentary network of the NAM, will be on the agenda of this meeting, specified the same source, adding that this latter will be marked by the election of the President and the three vice-presidents, as well as the approval of the official logo and the flag of the parliamentary network.

Furthermore, this conference aims to promote the ideas and principles of the NAM”, and it constitutes an opportunity for the participating delegations to hold “bilateral meetings to examine the issues of hour that arise on the international scene”, according to the press release.

The Algerian parliamentary delegation participating in the Conference is made up of the President of the Parliamentary Group of the Society for Peace Movement (MSP), Ahmed Sadok, the President of the Algeria-Azerbaijan Friendship Parliamentary Group, Gharbi Abdelbasset and two members of the Council of the Nation, namely; Fouad Sebouta and Ahmed Bouziane.
