Justice/Corruption: Verdict of former Governor of Medea Layadi pronounced

ALGIERS- The Economic and Financial Criminal Pole of the tribunal of Sidi M’hamed (Algiers), on Wednesday, sentenced the former wali of Médéa, Mustapha Layadi, to three (3) years in prison and a fine of 200,000 DA.

Mustapha Layadi was prosecuted for corruption, abuse of office and squandering of public funds.

The Public Prosecutor had requested against Mustapha Layadi a sentence of ten (10) years in prison accompanied by a fine of 300,000 DA.
