ALGIERS- The Algerian Petroleum Institute (IAP), subsidiary of Sonatrach, has signed a cooperation agreement, in the field of training, with the Tunisian Company of Refining Industries (STIR), with a view to establishing a partnership in the field of training related to hydrocarbons, the Sonatrach group said in a press release.
Signed on 1 February, the agreement between the two parties is the culmination of an in-depth of discussions between IPA officials and the Tunisian side, the same source added.
An implementation contract has also been signed as a concrete expression of this cooperation for training in the field of refining and maintenance, the document pointed out, stressing that this training will take place on the site of STIR in Tunisia for its theoretical part and at the level of Sonatrach’s facilities in Algeria for the practical one.
