ALGIERS- The Minister of Water Resources and Water Security, Karim Hasni received, Monday in Algiers, the Ambassador of the Republic of Egypt in Algiers, Mokhtar Gamil Tawfik Warida, with whom he examined the possibility of creating a company specializing in hydraulic equipment.
The two parties discussed, during this meeting, which took place at the headquarters of the ministry, the state of cooperation and partnership relations between Algeria and Egypt in the field of water resources.
On this occasion, Mr. Hasni reviewed the new challenges facing our country, in the context of climate change which is forcing us to move towards more mobilization of unconventional resources, in particular the desalination of water from sea, added the press release.
In this context, the two parties noted the importance of promoting cooperation in the field of seawater desalination, which constitutes a strategic choice in the short and medium term for the two countries, while highlighting the need to exchange expertise and information in the fields of the use and management of unconventional water resources and training between companies in the two countries responsible for the water sector.
The two parties also underlined the possibility of establishing a partnership at the level of companies, with the aim of investing at the African level, through the examination of the possibility of creating a company specializing in hydraulic equipment, concluded the press release.
