ALGIERS- The Minister of Trade and Export Promotion, Kamel Rezig, received, On Thursday, the Ambassador and Head of the European Union (EU) Delegation in Algeria, Thomas Eckert, according to a statement issued by his ministerial department.
During the meeting, both sides touched on bilateral trade relations. For his part, Mr. Rezig recalled, on this occasion, the measures taken by the government to regulate foreign trade, referring, as such, to Algeria’s strategy to reduce imports.
In support of his remarks, Trade Minister outlined the reforms undertaken, including the rules governing investment.
On the other hand, the European ambassador praised “the volume of Algerian non-hydrocarbon exports recorded recently, which reflects the efficiency of the Action Plan currently adopted by the country.
