PA-UfM: Coordination meeting of two chambers of Parliament in anticipation of meeting in Brussels on December 3-4

ALGIERS- A coordination meeting was held, on Monday in Algiers, in anticipation of the participation of a delegation from both chambers of Parliament at the 7th summit of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean (PA-UfM) of Speakers of Parliament, said a statement from the Council of the Nation.

“On the guidance of Mr. Salah Goudjil, Speaker of the Council of the Nation, the Senator, Lila Brahimi supervised a coordination meeting, in anticipation of the participation of a delegation from both chambers of Parliament at the 7th Summit of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean (AP-UPM) of the Speakers of the Parliament, slated for December 3 and 4 at the headquarters of the European Parliament in Brussels (Belgium) “, specified the same source.

The participants in the meeting, which coincided with the World Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People celebrated on November 29 each year, “reiterated Parliament’s unwavering and unconditional support for the Palestinian people and their immutable right to establish an independent state with Al-Quds as its capital. This reflects Algeria’s position with regard to the Palestinian cause, ”added the same source.

The delegation that will take part in this summit is made up of the vice-speaker of the Council of the nation and head of delegation, Lila Brahimi, in addition to the chairman of the committee on Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and the National Community Abroad at the Council of the Nation, Abdelmadjid Ben Keddach, the chairman of the Committee on Education, Training, Higher Education, Scientific Research and Religious Affairs at the Council of the Nation, as well as members of the two chambers of Parliament.
