Algerian FM on working visit to Congo

ALGIERS- The Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra, in his capacity as special envoy of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, on Tuesday, began a working visit to the Republic of Congo.

ALGIERS- The Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra, in his capacity as special envoy of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, on Tuesday, began a working visit to the Republic of Congo.

“Upon his arrival at Brazzaville airport, the Algerian foreign minister was received by Congo’s Minister of State Floran Natsiba, chief of staff of the Congolese presidency,” according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad.

“This visit is part of an exchange of views between the two countries on continental issues, particularly with regard to the African Union (AU) High Level Committee on Libya, chaired by the President of the Republic of Congo, Denis Sassou Nguessou, ”the same source read.

The head of Algerian diplomacy, who carried out a two-day working visit to the Republic of the Congo last September, was received by the President of the Republic of the Congo, Mr. Denis Sassou Nguessou, to whom he conveyed a cordial message of friendship from his brother the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
