Council of Nation: PMs debate, Monday, draft Finance Bill 2022


ALGIERS- The Council of Nation will resume, on Monday, its work in a plenary session devoted to the debate on the 2022 draft Finance Bill (PLF), a council statement said on Sunday.

During this meeting, the draft Finance Law (PLF) will be presented by the representative of the government. The Economic and Financial Affairs Commission will present its report on the draft law before giving the floor to the members of the Council of Nation, according to the same source.

The Prime Minister, Minister of Finance, Aïmene Benabderrahmane had presented, Thursday, the PLF before the Committee of Economic and Financial Affairs of the Council of the Nation.

According to the presentation, the PLF 2022 was drawn up on the basis of the benchmark price of 45 dollars / barrel and 50 dollars / barrel for the market price of Algerian oil “Sahara Blend”.

The Government forecasts economic growth of 3.3%, a non-hydrocarbon growth rate of 3.9% and an inflation rate of 3.7%.

The bill provides for new socio-economic provisions, including tax reforms.

The deputies of the People’s National Assembly (APN) adopted, on Wednesday, the draft Finance Bill with the introduction of several amendments.
