ALGIERS- Minister of Industry Ahmed Zaghdar received, Monday in Algiers, the Ambassador of the Republic of Finland to Algeria, Marja Jonisva, where the two sides discussed economic relations between Algeria and Finland, especially in the industrial field, according to a press release issued by the ministry.
During this meeting, which took place at the Ministry’s headquarters, the two parties reviewed some experiences of partnership between the institutions of the two countries, stressing their common to further enhance it in the future, added the same source.
After presenting the broad outlines of the new legal system framing investment and the incentives it grants, Mr. Zaghidar called on Finnish institutions to have a greater presence in Algeria and to benefit from these privileges, especially in light of the entry into service of the African Continental Free Trade Area, of which Algeria is a member.
For her part, the ambassador affirmed the willingness of many Finnish companies to invest in Algeria in many industrial fields, especially handling.
The two sides agreed to hold meetings to accurately determine the areas that could constitute fruitful bilateral partnership opportunities, and to hold business meetings between businessmen of the two countries to discuss these opportunities, according to the communiqué.
