In a speech delivered at the handover ceremony, Mr. Beldjoud highlighted “the state’s interest in the completion of the capital’s development process and the adoption of a modern approach based on innovation, efficiency and participatory spirit “.

For the Minister, the Algerians “aspire to improve their living environment and the level of public services, in particular those relating to environmental hygiene, urban planning, education and health structures. , means of transport and other vital local structures “.

The Minister of the Interior considered that the appointment of Mr. Mabed is “a recognition of his long career at the level of local authorities”, which challenges him “to promote the wilaya of Algiers up to expectations of its population “.

Mr. Beldjoud recalled that Mr. Maabed “has more than 40 years of experience” in local management, as he held “important positions of responsibility, at the head of the wilayas of Jijel, El Tarf, Mostaganem, Bejaïa and Tipasa “.

For his part, the new wali of Algiers expressed “his commitment” to work to ensure all the energies and means, in order to face the challenges awaiting the capital.
