Minister of Tourism receives Brazilian Ambassador to Algeria

ALGIERS – The Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts, Yacine Hamadi, received, Monday, the Ambassador of Brazil in Algeria, Flavio Marega, with whom he examined the relations of cooperation between the two countries in the field of tourism and crafts and the means to strengthen them, said a statement from the ministry.

On this occasion, the two parties welcomed the “level of relations between the two countries, particularly in the tourism and craft sector” and the “success of the pilot school of precious stone engraving and manufacture of traditional jewelry in Tamanrasset “.

During the talks, the Minister of Tourism underlined the importance of the intensification of bilateral cooperation and the imperative realization of the planned projects, in particular the development of the ecotourism project in the wilaya of El Tarf.

Mr. Hamadi, also, stressed the need to put in place a strategy to strengthen the production and marketing of products made within the framework of cooperation.

For his part, the Brazilian ambassador indicated that his country was “ready to materialize all the projects launched with a view to strengthening the Algerian-Brazilian partnership and extending cooperation to the field of specialized training”, stressing the need to ” continue efforts to realize the bilateral program within the framework of the promotion of south-south cooperation “.

At the end of their meeting, the two parties agreed to continue their coordination in order to promote bilateral relations and build a partnership serving the common interests of the two countries.
