ROME- The Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra was received by the former Italian Prime Minister, Romano Prodi, before the opening of the work of the 3rd “Africa-Italy” ministerial meeting in Rome, with whom he exchanged views on the main political and security issues at the international level, a statement from the Foreign Ministry said on Thursday.
During this meeting, Mr. Lamamra reviewed with Mr. Prodi, who was President of the Commission of the European Union (EU), the latest developments in international relations, including the challenges facing the Mediterranean, specified the press release.
The two parties, also, discussed the ways and means of strengthening exchanges and bringing the peoples of the two shores of the Mediterranean closer together, in addition to the prospects of putting an end to crises through dialogue and diplomatic channels within the framework of international legality, concluded the same source.
