Russia/Defense: Shipment of Coronavirus vaccine received at Boufarik Airport

ALGIERS- Algeria received a shipment of the anti-Coronavirus vaccine, estimated at 204.000 doses, purchased from Russia, on board a military cargo plane, which landed at Boufarik Airport, as part of supporting the efforts of the national health system and providing the necessary means to ward off the spread of COVID-19, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of National Defense.

The statement said, “A shipment of anti-Covid-19 vaccine was brought on board a military cargo plane, as part of supporting the efforts of the national health system and providing the necessary means to limit the spread of Coronavirus. It landed at Boufarik Air Base on board a military cargo plane belonging to the Air Force, carrying a batch of the anti-Covid-19 vaccine, estimated at 204.000 doses, acquired from Russia.”

The same statement indicated, “This operation confirms, once again, the permanent readiness of People’s National Army to respond to the call of the homeland, serve the Algerian people in all circumstances, and perform their humanitarian tasks to the fullest.”
