ALGIERS- A four-year framework strategic partnership agreement was signed at the level of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, between, on the one hand, ASMIDAL / SPA 100% Sonatrach and the OAIC.
To this end, Asmidal group was represented by its CEO, Houayen Mohamed Tahar, while the Algerian Interprofessional Cereals Office (OAIC), was represented by its Secretary General, Nacereddine Messaoudi. An event which was enhanced by the presence of the Minister of Energy and Mines, as well as the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development and Sonatrach executives.
This agreement aims to strengthen the joint commitment between the two parties to improve cooperation in the service of agriculture, and to ensure the sustainability of the continuous supply of farmers with high quality fertilizers, in sufficient quantity and at reasonable prices, especially in this period when the prices of fertilizers, have known an unprecedented rise in the national and international markets.
Thus, this strategic partnership contributes to achieving the objectives set by the State to protect national production, reduce imports, balance the trade balance and strengthen the country’s food security.
A second agreement was, also, signed, on this occasion, between the Agro-Food Activities Company, a 100% subsidiary of Sonatrach, and AGROLOG (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development). This convention aims to exchange experiences and federate efforts, taking into account the interests of both parties.
