ALGIERS- The criminal tribunal of Dar El Beida adjourned, Sunday, to October 10, the trial of the former Minister of Justice, Keeper of Seals, Tayeb Louh, prosecuted for obstructing justice when he was at the head of this sensitive sector.

ALGIERS- The criminal tribunal of Dar El Beida adjourned, Sunday, to October 10, the trial of the former Minister of Justice, Keeper of Seals, Tayeb Louh, prosecuted for obstructing justice when he was at the head of this sensitive sector.

To this end, the postponement occurs at the request of the defense collective with a view to allowing the examination of the file and the appearance of all the defendants (at liberty) in this case.

Also prosecuted in this case are the adviser and brother of the former President of the Republic, Said Bouteflika, the businessman Ali Haddad, and the former inspector general of the Ministry of Justice, Taieb Hachemi, whose defense request for his release on health grounds, was denied.

The Investigating Adviser to the Supreme Court ordered, on August 22, 2019, the placement of former Minister of Justice, Keeper of Seals Tayeb Louh in pre-trial detention for “abuse of office, obstruction of justice, as well as incitement to bias and forgery “.
