ALGIERS- President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, received , Sunday, the Turkish Foreign Minister, Mr. Mevlut Cavusoglu, who conveyed to him the greetings and condolences of the Turkish President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, following the martyrdom of citizens due to the fires in the country, according to a press release issued by the Presidency of the Republic.
In turn, “Mr. President asked the Turkish minister to convey his sincere condolences to his Turkish counterpart over the fires and floods that swept his country.”
The meeting also allowed for addressing “the current regional and international issues and confirming the convergence of views on many files, especially developments in Libya, Western Sahara, Tunisia and in Sahel countries, which calls for doubling cooperation and unifying efforts to contribute to achieving stability in the region,” added the same source.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, Mr. Ramtane Lamamra, and the Director of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic, Mr. Noureddine Baghdad Al-Daidj.
