ALGIERS- The passing average for the baccalaureate is set below 10/20 – the average declared in 2001 as essential to be able to go to university – for the second year in a row. Given the Coronavirus epidemic, it is fixed at 9.5 / 20.
Compared to the 2020 session, the average floor has been revised upwards. The announcement was made, on Thursday, by Abdelhakim Belabed, Minister of National Education at a press conference. The results will be known from 4 p.m.
To this end, the Minister of National Education has shown uncompromising respect for health protocol in these times of the third wave of the coronavirus epidemic. He instructed the directors of the establishments to take care of this personally.
Mr. Belabed also announced a significant pass rate for the baccalaureate exam for the June 2021 session. This pass rate reached 61.17%, he said.
In 2020, the passing average for the baccalaureate was set at 9/20 due to the same exceptional health conditions.
Congratulations to everyone who made it! Hard luck for others!
