Algeria-Western Sahara: Bilateral relations, latest developments addressed


ALGIERS – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra, held, on Wednesday in Algiers, a meeting with the Saharawi Minister of Foreign Affairs, Salem Ould Salek, during which bilateral relations and the latest developments in the region were tackled.

In a press statement at the end of the meeting which took place at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Ould Salek said he discussed with Mr. Lamamra “the privileged bilateral relations between the two peoples and the two States, the latest developments as well as issues of common interest “.

On this occasion, Mr. Ould Salek addressed, on behalf of the Saharawi people, his sincere thanks to the Algerian people, Algerian State and to the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, for their constant position of principle in favor of the Saharawi people.

The Saharawi head of diplomacy also thanked Mr. Lamamra for “the fraternal and warm welcome” he has reserved for him “.
