ALGIERS – Mr. Abderrahmane Lahfaya took , Thursday in Algiers, office as head of the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security in the Government of Prime Minister Aïmene Benabderrahmane, replacing Mr. El-Hachemi Djaaboub.
Speaking at the handover ceremony held at the headquarters of the ministry in the presence of sector executives, Mr. Lahfaya called on everyone to “join in the process of implementing and monitoring projects, and the fulfillment of commitments of the President of the Republic to contribute to the building of the new Algeria “.
The new minister addressed his thanks to the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune for the confidence placed in him by entrusting him with responsibility for such an “important and sensitive” sector.
As an executive in the sector, added Mr. Lahfaya, “I am aware of what has been accomplished and the challenges that await us, particularly with regard to the preservation of the national social security system, the improvement of mediation mechanisms, support of employment, the establishment of a favorable climate capable of facilitating the creation of activities with a view to promoting social dialogue and its mechanisms “.
As a reminder, Mr. Lahfaya held the post of Director General of the National Social Insurance Fund for Salaried Workers (CNAS).
