ALGIERS- Faced with the worrying upsurge in the daily number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Algeria, the health authorities will not remain “with folded arms”.

Indeed, a project on limiting access to public places and other closed places to vaccinated people is under discussion at the level of the Ministry of Health.

“Access to these places will only be made with presentation of a card of vaccination against the Coronavirus”, assured, on Tuesday, Dr. Lyes Rahal, director of the National Institute of Public Health ( INSP).

“This approach, which is on the table of the scientific committee for study, will have to be sent shortly to the competent authorities in order to rule on the possibility of its implementation for the next few days”, he maintained in a statement to the private channel Ennahar TV.

The CEO of the INSP noted that the capital comes at the head of the most affected provinces.
