President Tebboune receives FLN’ SG, members of political bureau, representatives of independents/ Photos

ALGIERS- As part of the political consultations in anticipation of the formation of the new government, President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune received, this Saturday, the secretary general of the National Liberation Front (FLN) and members of the political bureau of this party, indicated the Presidency in a press release.

“President Tebboune, also, received a delegation of representatives of the Independents led by Abdelwahab Aït Menguellet,” added the same source.

The delegation of Independents is made up of Ali Mounci, Saker Berri, Abdelhamid Bellekhel, Benaouda Bettaher El Hadj, Abdelkader Gouri and Fatma Bida.

“Took part in this meeting, underlined the press release of the Presidency, the director of cabinet of the presidency of the Republic Noureddine Bardad Daidj, the secretary general of the presidency Mohamed Amine Messaid and the advisor to the presidency of the Republic in charge of legal and judicial affairs
Boualem Boualem ”.

In a related context, President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, entrusted, Thursday, Prime Minister, Abdelaziz Djerad, with the management of the government’s current affairs pending the appointment of a new one.

Prime Minister Abdelaziz Djerad tendered, Thursday, June 24, 2021, the resignation of his cabinet to the President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune, following the proclamation, on Wednesday evening, of the final results of the legislative elections of June 12, 2021 by the Constitutional Council.

To this end, Mr. Djerad officially tendered the resignation of his cabinet to President Tebboune at 11:30 a.m. This procedure took place in accordance with article 113 of the constitution which stipulates that the prime minister or the head of government may, as the case may be, tender his resignation to the president of the republic.

Article 103 of the Constitution stipulates that “The government is headed by a Prime Minister when the legislative elections result in a presidential majority. The government is headed by a head of government when the legislative elections result in a parliamentary majority”.

Earlier on Wednesday, President of the Constitutional Council, Mr. Kamal Fenniche, announced the final results of the legislative elections that took place in June 12.

The following are the final results of the seats obtained by political parties and the independents:

National Liberation Front Party: 98 seats

Independent lists: 84 seats

Society for Peace Movement: 65 seats

National Democratic Rally Party: 58 seats

Al-Mustakbel Front: 48 seats

Al-Binaa National Movement: 39 seats

People’s Voice Party: 03 seats

Justice and Development Front: 02 seats

Freedom and Justice Party: 02 seats

Al-Fadjr Al-Jadid Party: 02 seats

Good Governance Front has 02 seats

New Algeria Party: 01 seat

Al-Karama Party: 01 seat

New Generation Party: 01 seat

Algerian National Front: 01 seat
