ALGIERS- The member of the scientific committee for monitoring the Coronavirus pandemic, Pr. Ilyes Akhamouk, revealed, on Friday, June 25th, 2021, that “all measures have been taken for the strict organization of travelers’ return from abroad.
Guest of Radio Sétif, Pr. Ilyes Akhamouk, pointed out that the health protocol imposed at the airport is being evaluated, expressing his optimism about the relaxation of procedures imposed on travelers returning to Algeria.
He added that the quarantine measures could be canceled. Only PCR tests before and after the trip will be required.
In a related context, the same official revealed that Algeria will, likely, open new flights to different countries, stressing, in this regard, that such a decision is under the prerogative of the public authorities.
As for the detected cases, Pr. Ilyes Akhamouk highlighted that among the thousands of travelers who entered Algeria, only six cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed and that these people infected with this viral disease were taken care of.
