Algiers- Different provinces of the country will witness a change in the weather conditions, with temperatures exceeding 40 degrees in the northern parts and 45 degrees in the southern provinces, while the southwestern regions will witness thunderstorms exceeding 20 mm locally.
As such, the official in charge of information at the National Office of Meteorology, Houaria Ben Rakta, said that the weather situation will change as of Tuesday. She explained that the weather will be hot and rainy in the southwestern provinces from Tuesday until Thursday. This period coincides with the holding of the intermediate school certificate exam.
For the castal, southern, including Tindouf, Saida, An-Naama, Bechar, Laghouat, eastern and central sprovinces, the weather will be cloudy laden with scattered showers, thunderstorms and colder temperatures.
As for the expected maximum temperatures during the next three days, they will reach 46 degrees in the middle and north of the desert, 40 degrees in the southern parts, and 31 degrees in the central provinces of the country.
