ALGIERS- A total of 321 new confirmed cases of Coronavirus (Covid-19), 238 recoveries and eight deaths have been reported over the last 24 hours in Algeria, the ministry of Health, Population and Hospital Reform said, Thursday, in a statement.
The same communiqué added that the total number of confirmed cases reached 132355 cases, and that of recoveries rose to 92132, while the total number of deaths stood at 3552.
There are currently 26 patients in intensive care, according to the same statement, which added that 25 provinces have registered less than ten cases, 15 others have not registered any case, while only 8 provinces have recorded more than 10 cases.
To this end, the Ministry of Health, Population and Hospital Reform stressed on the fact that the current situation of the pandemic requires citizens to be vigilant and to abide by rules of hygiene.
Recalling that an order for the acquisition of 30 million doses of anti-Covid-19 vaccines has been placed with several suppliers as part of a bilateral purchase as declared by the Minister of Health, Population and Hospital Reform, Pr Abderrahmane Benbouzid, who added that Algeria will receive a quota of 700,000 units of Sputnik V, remaining in “the framework of the 1 million doses contract signed with the Russian partner”.
