Covid-19: Two million Algerians vaccinated, new batches of vaccines arriving

ALGIERS- About two million Algerians have been vaccinated against Covid-19 since the start of the operation, which began in early February, according to Prof. Ryadh Mahyaoui, who spoke on Sunday on national radio, channel 1.

“Algeria has received about 2.5 million vaccines”, added Fr Mahyaoui who announces the arrival of a new batch of 40,000 doses in the next 24 hours, while waiting for another large batch of 4 million doses, at the end of June.

As part of the Covax system, Algeria is still awaiting a new contribution to reach a total of 8 million doses, pointed out the guest of the national radio.
