Hydrocarbon: Algeria’ Sonatrach expresses readiness to develop privileged relations with Libyan partner


ALGIERS- Chief Executive Officer of Sonatrach Group Toufik Hakkar affirmed Saturday, in Algiers, that the Group is willing to strengthen the privileged relations with the Libyan partner to establish a winning partnership and develop the gas and oil industry in the two countries, underlining the potentials of the group and its subsidiaries in the field of oil services.

“Sonatrach” Group, in a publication posted on its “Facebook” page, declared that Mr. Hakkar underlined, during his participation in the work of the Algerian-Libyan Economic Forum, “the Group’s disposition to develop distinguished relations with the Libyan partner in order to lay the foundations for a win-win economic partnership, and develop the oil and gas industry in both countries ”.

Mr. Hakkar, also, presented a technical sheet on the Sonatrach Group and the capacities of its subsidiaries in the field of petroleum services, underlining, in his speech, the “great experience of the Group in various upstream and downstream hydrocarbon activities, which can be used in Libya, ” pointed out the same source.

It should be noted that the Algerian-Libyan Economic Forum, which opened yesterday morning, with the participation of about 400 economic operators from the two countries, aims to strengthen economic and trade cooperation between Algeria and Libya and discuss the bilateral partnership opportunities available in the different economic sectors in the two countries.
