ALGIERS-Foreign Minister Sabri Boukadoum, on Sunday, reaffirmed Algeria’s “full” solidarity with the brotherly Libyan people in their efforts to overcome the crisis and restore peace in the country.
In a press statement at the end of the audience he granted to his Libyan counterpart, Ms. Najla Al Mangoush, Mr. Boukadoum stressed “Algeria’ support and unlimited solidarity with the brotherly Libyan people with a view to overcoming the crisis, while ensuring the country’s full support of the efforts of the Libyan authorities aimed at restoring political and security stability and to consecrate national reconciliation, through the unification of ranks in anticipation of the next important electoral rendez-vous”.
He added that “the renewed fraternal meeting” held with the Libyan minister focused on “issues related to privileged bilateral relations with a view to promoting the level of aspirations of the two peoples”.
The head of diplomacy said he exchanged with Ms. Al Mangoush “views on regional and international issues of common interest, emphasizing the tradition of communication and coordination”, while noting with “great satisfaction the common will to breathe new life into these relations “.
The meeting was, also, an opportunity “to examine a series of measures capable of smoothing out the difficulties for the economic operators of the two countries and the development of trade and economic exchanges, including the acceleration of the opening of the border post Deb Deb / Ghadames “.
Mr. Boukadoum praised “the secular fraternity and neighborhood relations between the two States, which have enshrined the values of understanding and solidarity in all circumstances”, affirming the maintenance of these values .
He, also, recalled the solidarity of the brotherly Libyan people with Algeria during the war of national liberation.
