ALGIERS-Minister of Foreign Affairs Sabri Boukadoum, on Tuesday, held phone talks with his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry on bilateral cooperation and the ways to strengthen them.
“With my brother Sameh Shoukry, the Egyptian Foreign Minister, we expressed our satisfaction at the level of ongoing cooperation ties between both countries, which have been always marked with mutual understanding and respect.” Boukadoum wrote on his Twitter account.
To this end, both sides expressed their keenness on further enhancing bilateral cooperation with a view to fulfilling the aspirations of the two countries’ peoples.
In January 2020, Foreign Minister Shoukry flew to Algeria to convey President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi’s message to Algerian President Abdel Madjid Tebboune.
During the visit, the Egyptian Foreign Minister held a meeting with his Algerian counterpart Sabri Boukadoum, during which they discussed the bilateral relations, ways of promoting cooperation, in addition to Middle East and North Africa crises, particularly the Libyan turmoil.
