ALGIERS- The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, sent a message of condolences to the family of the former Minister of Finance, the late Abderrahmane Benkhalfa, who passed away, this Friday morning, at the age of 72.
The President of the Republic said in a message of condolences: “I received with a heart that trusts the judgment of Allah and his destiny the news of the death of the former Minister of Finance and Special Envoy of the African Union, Dr. Abderrahmane Benkhalfa.”
The President of the Republic added, “As we share the pain of separation with the family and loved ones of the deceased, we pray Allah Almighty to bless his soul with the breadth of his mercy on a blessed day and a blessed month and to bestow upon his family patience and solace. (To Allah we belong and to Him we shall return)”.
Former Minister of Finance, Abderrahmane Benkhalfa, died, Friday, in the morning from Covid-19.
Late Abderrahmane Benkhalfa held, during his rich career, many high raking positions in Algeria and abroad, such as Minister of Finance, Secretary General of the Association of Maghreb Banks and lastly the position of Special Envoy of the African Union.
