ALGIERS- Prime Minister Mr. Abdelaziz Djerad, representing the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, participated, on Friday, in Brazzaville, in the constitutional oath-taking ceremony of the Congolese President, Mr. Denis Sassou-Nguesso, following his renewed election, according to the press release of the Prime Minister services.
The statement read: “Representing the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Prime Minister Mr. Abdelaziz Djerad participated, together with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Sabri Boukadoum, in Brazzaville, capital of the Republic of Congo, in the swearing-in ceremony of the President, Denis Sassou-Nguesso, after his re-election.
On this occasion – the same source added – “Prime Minister conveyed the congratulations and greetings of the President of the Republic to his counterpart, Mr. Denis Sassou-Nguesso, and his wishes for success during his new mandate,” stressing his “keenness to strengthen the historical friendship between the two countries and work together to ensure security and stability on the continent.”
