The National Society for Research, Production, Transport, Processing and Marketing of Hydrocarbons (Sonatrach) announced, in a press release, the commissioning of the Boosting III project of the Hassi R’mel field with its three South stations, Center and North, after completion of the commissioning phase of the last “North” station.
The national oil company specified that, notwithstanding the Covid-19 pandemic, the contractual deadlines for completing and starting the operating phase were met with the required quality, thanks to the commitment of the project team with the contribution of National Companies, ENGTP, ENAC, SARPI and Cosider Pipelines.
As a reminder, this project aims to maintain a production level estimated at 180 million cubic meters per day and to recover additional reserves estimated at 400 billion cubic meters of natural gas.
It should be noted that this achievement allows Sonatrach to strengthen its current production capacities to continue to meet the growing needs of the national gas market and also to honor its contractual export obligations, particularly in periods of strong demand for gas. natural gas.
It also allowed, during the construction phase, the creation of more than 10,000 jobs, most of them for the benefit of the national workforce, the same source concluded.
