ALGIERS- Minister of Foreign Affairs Sabri Boukadoum held, Sunday, a working session with Vice President of Switzerland, Head of the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs Ignazio Cassis which focused on the historical bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to promote them in all fields.
In this vein, the two parties welcomed the level of bilateral cooperation and discussed the opportunities offered to further strengthen economic and trade exchanges.
The meeting between the two officials and the delegations of the two countries, also, addressed topical regional and international issues of common interest, in particular recent developments in Western Sahara and the situation in Libya and the Sahel, Mr. Boukadoum said in the press release issued following the meeting.
Mr. Ignazio Cassis is on a working visit to Algeria from February 7 to 9. During this visit, the Swiss Federal Head and the accompanying delegation will hold a range of meetings with other senior political leaders and will be received by Prime Minister Abdelaziz Djerad, the Foreign Ministry said.
