Snowfall is still hitting, today, Saturday, Dec, 26, 2020, the reliefs exceeding 800 meters of altitude, according to a special weather report (BMS) issued by the services of the National Office of Meteorology.
The concerned provinces, placed at the Yellow vigilance level, are: Oum El Bouaghi, Guelma, Batna, Bouira, Constantine, Tebessa, Tizi Ouzou, Mila, Jijel, Bejaia, Souk Ahras, Bordj Bou Arreridj, Sétif and Khenchela.
This weather alert is valid till Sunday morning, December 27.
Local snowfall amounts will be on the order of 20 cm.
The same services have indicated that torrential rains accompanied by hails remain battering different parts of the country.
The concerned provinces are: Bejaia, Setif, Skikda, Annaba, Guelma, Constantine, Al-Tarif, Ahras market, Mila, Jijel and Bordj Bou Arreridj.
Rainfall accumulation will reach 50 mm locally. Bulletin validity runs from today till tomorrow morning, more precisely at 06:00 a.m.
In addition, rains, with an accumulation reaching 30 mm locally, are, still, hitting the following provinces: Bouira, Tizi Ouzou, Blida, Algiers and Boumerdes. Bullein is valid till midday.
Gusty winds exceeding 50 km / h, continues blowing along the Eastern coastal strip, according to a special weather report (BMS) issued by the services of the National Office of Meteorology.
According to the same report, the sea will be turbulent, with waves’ height reaching 4 meters throughout the day.
The concerned coasts are: Annaba, El Kala, Skikda, Annaba, Jijel, Bejaia, Azfoun and Dalas.
Also, gusty winds exceeding 40 km / h, will blow along the Western and Central coastal strip. Waves’ height will reach 3 meters throughout the day of Saturday.
The concerned coasts are: Algiers, Bouharoun, Tennis, Mostaganem, Arzew, Oran, Beni Saf and Ghazaouet.
